In the run-up to the Lower House elections, Hollands Welvaren interviews electable politicians who know about money. What are their plans? How do we keep the Netherlands prosperous? Do they want a bigger government that invests more, or a smaller one that cuts back? And who gets the bill for the political plans, and who gets tax cuts?
They are one-on-one conversations lasting roughly an hour. Below are who the guests are, how to listen and watch the episodes, and what Hollands Welvaren is.

What is Hollands Welvaren
Hollands Welvaren is an independent journalistic platform founded in 2025 that aims to give you more insight into the Dutch economy and is concerned with the question: how do we ensure that the Netherlands remains prosperous? The basis is a weekly newsletter that appears (almost) every Saturday morning. So in the run-up to the Lower House elections, there is also a podcast series. Hollands Welvaren was founded by me, Joris Heijn, financial journalist. Follow me on LinkedIn here.
Free to listen to, not free to make
Anyone can listen to the podcasts: Hollands Welvaren 's podcasts are not behind a pay wall, nor do they contain advertisements. But, of course, they are not free to make. Do you appreciate Hollands Hollands Welvaren's independent journalism? Then consider, for example:
- take out a paid subscription to the weekly newsletter(5 euros a month, or 50 euros a year)
- To become a Founding Friend for 250 euros a year and thus give Hollands Welvaren a real opportunity to grow
- or to make a one-time donation of an amount of your choice
